This 30-minute Japanese 3×3 walking workout combines one of my most popular walking formats with fat-burning cardio and full-body toning — giving you the best of both worlds in one session.



Using the classic Japanese 3×3 walking method, we alternate between fast walking and moderate walking intervals, starting with a longer warm-up and moving through 10 structured intervals.

What makes this workout special is how we use the moderate intervals — layering in gentle toning movements while you keep stepping, helping you burn more calories and sculpt your body at the same time.

  • ~4-minute warm-up walk

  • 10 x 3-minute intervals:

    • Fast walking to raise heart rate

    • Moderate walking with toning moves
