50 Minutes. 50 Moves. No Jumping! 🔥

If you love longer, steady cardio workouts without endless high-intensity intervals, this one is for you.

Today's 50 Minute Low Impact Cardio Workout gives you a brand-new exercise every minute.

That's:

50 minutes = 50 different moves!

There's no jumping, no floor work and no equipment.

Instead, we're using continuous, easy-to-follow movement and great music to raise the heart rate, build stamina and get wonderfully warm and sweaty.

And because we're changing exercise every minute, there's always something new coming.

❤️ What Is Steady-State Cardio?

Not every cardiovascular workout needs to involve repeated all-out efforts.

Steady-state cardio generally involves maintaining a more consistent, sustainable level of cardiovascular effort for a longer period.

Rather than repeatedly pushing towards a peak and then recovering, we're aiming to find a level of effort that allows us to keep moving.

That makes today's workout very different from one of our Norwegian 4x4 or HIIT-style sessions.

Neither style is universally "better".

They're simply different ways of challenging your cardiovascular system.

Why I Love This Style of Cardio

There's something lovely about settling into a longer workout and just moving.

You don't have to brace yourself for the next enormous effort.

Instead, you can find your rhythm, enjoy the music and allow the minutes to accumulate.

It's what I like to think of as:

Training without draining.

We're working.

We're getting warm.

We're challenging our cardiovascular fitness.

But we're doing it through sustained movement rather than relentless peaks.

❤️ Benefits of Steady Cardio

Regular cardiovascular exercise can help:

✔️ Improve cardiovascular fitness

✔️ Develop aerobic endurance

✔️ Build stamina

✔️ Increase daily movement

✔️ Increase energy expenditure

✔️ Support heart health

✔️ Improve exercise tolerance

✔️ Support overall physical and mental wellbeing

And because we're using a variety of movement patterns, we're also challenging coordination and agility along the way.

🔥 What About “Fat Burning”?

You will often hear longer cardio sessions described as fat-burning workouts, including on fitness platforms like mine.

But it's worth understanding what that means.

Your body uses a mixture of energy sources during exercise, and one workout cannot selectively remove body fat.

What cardiovascular exercise can do is increase your overall energy expenditure and improve fitness.

When combined with strength training, everyday activity and appropriate nutrition, regular cardio can form part of an overall approach to managing body composition.

So rather than chasing a magical "fat-burning exercise", we're concentrating on something much more useful:

Consistent movement and improved fitness.

Low Impact Doesn't Mean Low Intensity

We're keeping one foot connected to the floor rather than using jumping movements.

But you remain completely in control of how hard you work.

Want more?

Make the movement bigger, use the arms more purposefully or increase your pace.

Need less?

Reduce your range, slow things down or take an additional recovery.

That's one of the beauties of this style of workout.

Who Is This Workout For?

This session is a great choice if you're looking for:

✔️ Longer low-impact cardio

✔️ No-jumping workouts

✔️ All-standing exercise

✔️ Equipment-free cardio

✔️ No-repeat workouts

✔️ Simple choreography

✔️ An alternative to HIIT

✔️ A 50-minute home workout

How Hard Should You Work?

Because we're exercising for 50 minutes, don't feel you need to attack the opening exercises as though they're the last minute of the workout!

Find a pace you can sustain.

Your breathing should increase and you should feel as though you're exercising, but your effort needs to reflect the length of the session and your own current fitness level.

You can always increase your intensity once you're properly warmed up.

Final Thoughts

Fifty minutes might sound like a long cardio workout.

But when you have 50 different moves and something new arriving every minute, it feels completely different from repeating the same few exercises again and again.

No jumping.

No equipment.

No floor work.

Just great music and sustained movement.

Find your rhythm, work at your own pace and let's get those 50 moves DONE!
